    <content type="text">A manifestation disguised as a poem.
Imagined, felt and written by Denny K. Schuldt.

Collision • Evolution • Anticipation • Vision • Warmth • Promise • Balance • Devotion.

I

And boom! We collided.
After all this time, life decided we will no longer be divided.
The crossing of our glances was all it took,
to start the first chapter of my new favorite book.

II

I’m dying for writing poetry about butterflies revolving,
about realizing how our connection is evolving.
From kisses on the cheeks and spending quality time,
to feeling that I’m becoming yours, and that you’re becoming mine.

Having the excitement of planned dates,
of subtle gestures and then touching our hands.
Noticing when you smile with every crack of your shell,
and how you close your eyes enjoying my smell.

I want to return home recalling every night,
smiling at every traffic light still feeling how you hold me tight.
May you be the reason why I smile at my phone.
Love makes us a bit dumb, it is known.

I’m ready for an oxytocin overdose,
to sometimes write some verses, and others some prose.
I’m curious about what I’ll write while being lovestruck,
and you being my inspiration my muse of luck.

III

It’s around the hour where we’ll meet.
I can’t deny I’m nervous thinking about how I’ll greet.
“Hi! How are you?” sounds a little bit plain,
maybe a “Hey! It’s you!” will connect more our brains.

Although I already feel a connection,
something inside me senses some affection.
Maybe it’s your charm, or the sparkles you text me.
I’m not really sure, so let’s wait and see.

My body is shaking, not just my legs.
It’s the anticipation for a new rhythm to set.
I’ve dated before, several times in fact,
but this one feels different. It has an impact.

IV

I want to take beautiful pictures with you in the center,
that way you’ll see yourself through my eyes so tender.
The beauty of the unexpected captured in every frame,
I’ll caption them all by putting our names.

You see, that would be spontaneous,
but with you I feel that the excitement would be contagious.
For the first time I’ll see myself through the eyes of another,
maybe I’ll see myself through the eyes of a lover.

Hey, look at me. Smile, let me direct.
Let me capture this moment so we never forget.
Let the rays of light touch softly your face,
Living moment by moment, at our own pace.

That would be mutual, not just something of mine.
Imagine feeling the oxytocin all around our minds.
How beautiful would that be,
two lovers taking pictures, sitting in a tree.

V

Sometimes you become my warm soft corner,
the one I want to be in longer and longer.
Yes, a corner but a peaceful one for sure.
My world is getting cozier and I wonder if I’m doing the same for you.

The strength of your arms ties me to my core,
the feeling is so melting that I’m always wanting more.
Feeling our chests moving as we breathe,
that’s why when in your corner, I never want to leave.

You should see your face when we’re together,
nothing else matters, everything’s light as a feather.
Those are the moments when I realize,
that a cozy world could never have a prize.

Ah, the stages of falling in love.
How beautiful it is to feel every touch so soft.
Becoming vulnerable has its perks,
like watching first hand all of your smirks.

VI

You asked me one night what I’ll do,
best part is me feeling that you’ll also do that too.
Mutual, that’s the word.
That’s the key for me to unravel my world.

I fantasize about how ours would feel across different moons,
how I will write you poems while you’ll prepare the balloons.
Celebrations may be yours but I’m willing to take a part,
to create memories so we both can fill our hearts.

The time we share is what I value the most,
sometimes at yours, others it’s me who host.
Cooking, cuddling, hugging, give me more.
I love every single minute, every single one I adore.

VII

I know some things about the times you died before,
a little of all the pain of past lives you had to endure.
And now you know some of mine as well,
but that tragic opera is over, no more tickets to sell.

No more rebirths, no more reincarnations,
I’m ready from solitude, my emancipation.
Our path will have its slopes for sure,
but together we will be each other’s cure.

I’m a dreamer, let me dance.
I like this rhythm, this is our chance.
It takes two to tango, not just one soul.
We finally matched our person, we both have hit the goal.

VIII

I would love you in your todays and your tomorrows,
I would make sure that in your soul there won’t be sorrow.
I would love your past, for becoming your present,
I would love you always, and I promise I’ll be gentle.</content>

<content type="text">Love is so beautiful that it is unfair to lock it in your chest,
or even worse to make it cold and calculated like a game of chess.
You see, love is such a beautiful thing to grow inside,
to nurture and take care of for its rewards in life.

What is love? You may wonder yourself.
Not a magical formula that you can use on an excel cell.
Maybe it’s a state of mind, or a way of living,
or maybe just a chemical reaction felt for us still breathing.

Some physics compare love to the fundamental forces,
Gravity, electromagnetism, but only love human connections forges.
Some poets think about love as a sublime experience to live.
Ever changing and timeless, something you can receive and give.

Love can transform, from zero to a hundred,
love can make you feel at your best, but never haunted.
If any, that wouldn’t be love anymore…
Would be something else, something shattered on the floor.</content>

<content type="text">There’s a chocolate factory up on the hill,
the entrance is open for those who feel.
No mimicking, no pretending,
If you’re really feeling it, keep on ascending.

The stairs are graded from one to who knows,
the end is an illusion that only time can blow.
There are candies and cookies all around the place,
only accessible if I see tenderness in your face.

The factory has a variety of flavors and machines of all kinds,
the taste of a single piece will stimulate your mind.
From the usual sweetness to the rarity of saltiness,
prepare your palate, you’ll enjoy the altiness.

I’m the chocolatier, who tempers and molds,
enjoying the view and wondering what the future holds.
Crafting chocolate requires patience,
the final product must glare with high radiance.</content>

I cannot recall the last time the tree got assembled.
I only did it for granny to enjoy,
for her to sit at the table and see the tree lights be deployed.

Now she’s gone and my family throned,
it’ll take time for us to new memories form.

I don’t feel like Christmas but I don’t want this feeling to stay,
deep inside me there’s the wish to get excited again one day.
I don’t want to rush, not a single day to push.

numbers and structural thinking have been the pillars of my life.
And yet, one side of my brain enjoys logical challenges,
while the other loves expressing feelings whenever there is silence.

The art of coding is like playing with lego pieces,
you build and build with lines until production releases.
Writing poetry is similar but feels different,
you build verses with words until you form something significant.

I’m really humbled to be able to do both,
they feed my curiosity and soul as I grow.
I only ask the universe for wisdom and more time,
between code within apps, and verses with rhymes.</content>

I write them to mentally touch grass and feel,
to take shelter in myself whenever I have the need.

I write poems because I’ve lived so many lives,
some of them evolved and others have naturally died.
There were lives that didn’t last long,
but that I can replay in my head like my favorite song.

I write poems for the lives I have yet to live,
dreaming through words, futures to be seen.
I write them because it feels so good,

Aquí nuestros ojos marrones miran hacia otro lado.

Alguna llamada, alguna noticia,

More an obligation than a pleasure it seemed the case.
That wouldn’t be us, I’m sure to my bones.
not even having the distraction of our phones.

Through the echo of their silence,
one could hear the rupture of their alliance.
But that wouldn’t be us, I cannot even imagine it.
If silence comes to us, it would be because of heartbeats.

Their souls seemed so distant, so far from each other,
like if one of them something bad had just discovered.
That wouldn’t be us, that I could almost guarantee.
We would have honesty and respect, while also feeling free.

The couple on the other table had its doomsday in the horizon,
perhaps because of a Bruce, or maybe ’cause an Allison.
But that wouldn’t be us… can you look me in the eyes?
No, no. There won’t be room for lies.</content>

<content type="text">The air gets thicker with every tick of the clock,
some cry rivers, some their tears block.
Phone calls, some news,
we can only wait on a Tuesday so blue.

A soul so proactive, whose body lies in bed,
one could only guess what thoughts are in her head.
This is the eternal sunset of one big caring heart,
between medicines and doctors, death’s playing with the darts.

She’s one of the grandmas in danger of extinction,
of the ones who dedicate their lives out of pure conviction.
She took the role of a mother, twice in her lifetime,
teaching everyone the power of love, always in primetime.

Everyone gathers around her with love,
waiting for a sign to come from above.
Her temperature changes while her blood pressure decreases,
kisses on her forehead and beautiful speeches.

…

I held her hand as her soul was leaving,
some were afraid, but she was firmly believing.
She’s changed her residence to live forever in our hearts.
Physically separated, but we’ll never be apart.

Love is forever, transcends space and time,
her love was the purest, it was sublime.
We loved you, we love you, we’ll love you.
I loved you, I love you, and I’ll forever love you.</content>

    <content type="text">He had me for a year,
planting seeds of many fears,
teasing ends that felt so near,
to leave me drowned in my own tears.

Some nights I screamed in silence,
the room was flooded but I fought for balance,
praying to God to give me some guidance,
to revive the flames of a dying romance.

My heart was an orchid left to wither,
wanted a connection but got a tether.
Doubts and insecurities made my sight red,
and gave pain to my chest that’s hard to forget.

I craved stability so much but my floor got weak,
tiles broke with every word, so I shortened my speech.
Kisses were rationed, even on my cheeks.
The loss was obvious, more so every week.

“Maybe if I contain myself to not bloom my emotions,
fuck my very feelings, crying is not an option.
Fake a smile and disconnect my core,
to drown on the inside, that way he won’t get bored.”

Is it fair to ask, what have I done to myself?
Chasing love never ends up well.
What’s felt is given, what’s not is faked…
How long had I to endure ’til the other with another got naked?

I’m recycling my tears to water my roots,
moving through the cracks in a soil that’ll get me fruits.
My leaves point to the sky searching for the sun,
getting light for myself, there’s nothing to be undone.</content>

<content type="text">Gone are the days when planning trips was a joy,
booking experiences or full days without being coy.
Where’s that person, what has he become?
Or is it that his heart has worn out by losing crumbs?

He’s not on pilot mode, neither on full steam.
There’s a missing gear for this machinery to gleam.
Is it something that comes with age,
or is he taking refuge in his well-known cage?

“I’m too mine to share myself” he used to say,
now he craves to do so and match a new world one day.
To find that missing line of code,
to make his structured heart enter lover mode.

Perhaps this person is only taking a pause,
to resume such experiences once he’s found a new cause.
Another motor for higher power, not an anchor to stop.
His boat needs movement instead of the ropes to drop.

Truth is he imagines more of what he lives,
he used to receive less of what he gives.
Beautiful hearts deserve the world,
their feelings must be valued and not be forced to fold.</content>

<content type="text">I was another car in his possession,
one he discarded once was over his obsession.
A brand new model with a vibran color,
stimulating all his senses with a shiny cover.

My engine sounded strong,
felt like nothing on the road could go wrong.
Except months went by and the first lights went on,
the car wasn’t checked, dawn after dawn.

Wasn’t a limited edition but a One of a kind,
yet after those months I required extra gas to keep me around his mind.
I had a soft inside and a delicious smell,
but he wasn’t sure enough to fasten his seatbelt and avoid the bell.

Another one of his cars, another one to count,
I drove me out of his garage for my parts to dismount.
A rebuild was needed after such wear and tear,
I’m becoming full equipment, with no time to spare.</content>

<content type="text">It’s hard to pretend being cold despite all the overthinking,
even more to pretend I don’t care despite all those nights drinking.
A glass of wine, pen and paper to start,
verses and rhymes trying to put those feelings apart.

I can’t have more fuel, every now and then I think,
but then it hits again so I return to ink.
It’s not linear, it’s more like a roller coaster.
I’m tired of this, could it go any faster?

And the thing is, I don’t want to pretend.
I need to forgive myself and this chapter end.
But how can you end a chapter you felt so alive within yourself?
By finding the strength to finally remove that book from the shelf.

Remember the joy of the past, but keeping the feet on the present.
One cannot forget all the pain but can make every day more pleasant.
Fractures don’t heal instantly, moving on takes time.
Reclaim one’s emotions to live and love with pride.</content>

<content type="text">What is a Poet but a vessel for emotions?
Both a participant and observer making of his muse the ocean.
A Poet revisits his past and manifests his future,
assimilates his reality and prepares for his wounds to suture.

A Poet is a vast collection of feelings,
is the one who knows that his expressions have no ceilings.
The line between the Is and the What-ifs,
the one who stares but never jumps from the cliff.

Poets may be haunted by bad remembrances,
but they don’t hold grudges despite all those chances.
They transform chaos into peace,
having the power to do so with every release.

What is a Poet but a collection of regrets?
A self-thought algorithm that learns from his mistakes.
A genuine soul dedicated to reflection,
one who deeply values every moment of affection.

But a Poet does not always hold on to pain,
he celebrates every happy memory grain.
A Poet has the power to boost them all,
like filling with beautiful blue roses one big hall.

A Poet is lots of verses put together as a person,
is both the lyrics and the melodies of his creations.
A Poet moves through universes as he pleases,
because with every visit he knows his experiences increases.

A Poet is that being that does not avoid but feels,
is someone who stares, is someone who grieves.
A Poet has bigs dreams, just like big fears.
A Poet laughs, but he also screams.

Poets know that words may come any time,
so they are always ready to empty their minds.
Poets do so every now and then,
because they need to make room for more feelings to land.

What is a Word but the truth or a dare.
What is a Verse but a force to repair.
What is a Poem but the sun and the rain.
What is a Poet but the beauty and the pain.

A Poet is,
a Poet feels.
A Poet breathes,
a Poet lives.</content>

    <content type="text">Have I been cheated before?
I cannot answer that being 100% sure.
Have I taken the cheating pills?
No. The mere idea just gives me the chills.

“That’s not me” I answer everytime that question comes to the table.
Betraying someone’s heart. No, for that I’m not able.
It is so difficult to find someone in these modern times,
why would you even think about commiting such crime?

Why is it common to hear they have cheated instead of the ones that have not?
Perhaps about love and respect for the other have they forgot?
Maybe I’m just old fashioned,
but I believe in true love, the one that’s passioned.

Once you have doubts, your relationship risks sinking.
You notice changes in behavior that leave you questioning.
Could that be true? Could this be happening?
Could I be acting paranoid and just imagining?

But why do they need to get to that extreme?
Blink, and change their love’s color scheme.
Turn a shining rainbow into a clouded storm,
all of this for making cheating the new norm?</content>

Aunque dubitativo y temeroso, cambié el chip y solté mi agenda.
Sucede que me sorprendió demasiado y sufrí,

Me contraje, y me volví a esconder.

    <content type="text">Dear candidate,
I hope these verses find you well.
They contain some feelings that as of right now I want to tell.
I like to play with words and channel some emotions,
so, here are some thoughts for you to have a notion.

But first please be aware,
that I’m seeking a relationship where we’re both taken care of.
I’ve always thought it’s more about forming a team,
rather than you do you and I do me, which I consider mean.

I’m not just another catch.
I’m smart and live my life forgoing my own path.
I’m interested in genuine souls,
those who know who they are and for their lives have clear goals.

Please, do not hold back.
Paint your life with colors instead of having it all black.
But know that sometimes even if it has neon I cannot see
when someone’s trying to tell something unless they’re explicit with me.

Oh, and I love dogs!
In fact I have a Pinscher that I purely adore.
I hope you love dogs too for they are heaven’s gift.
Ever since I got one my days have had a lift.

I’ve been hurt in the past,
but I won’t let anyone again skip my feelings so fast.
I’m a stronger person now, but my essence remains sweet.
You’ll be welcomed to my candy shop if you also bring your treats.

I’m waiting for a partner with whom I could meet new places,
and in each one of them finding our own spaces.
Do you like going out for food?
I know a lot of places that trust me, are really good.

Naturally it’s not always about going out.
Sometimes it is good to stay at home without taking any route.
We could watch some movies and make popcorn on the microwave,
and turn the lights off, so we feel we’re in a cave.

Dear candidate,
Thanks for reading this far.
These are all just glimpses of what we both could one day have.
Are you interested in a application?
Know that this will require quite some dedication.</content>

<content type="text">Let’s be honest, everybody wants it.
All of them want it to be fantastic.
They all seek for true love,
But at the first sign, they fly like a dove.

They want the feeling to chase them,
They want their bodies to tell them,
But are too afraid to feel it,
Fearing that they may kill it.

That’s why gay dating is so fragile,
And most men lose matches so agile.
The strategy of the mystery,
Never works and end up in misery.

I salute and give honors
To the men that show their true colors.
The brave ones that are authentic,
And have no intentions to fake it.

Those rarities of the city,
Those souls that are still pretty.
Keep shining and shedding light,
For others to follow you and do it right.</content>
